Bohdan Bohach - the lord of low octaves
The youngest member of vocal formation "Pikkardijska Tertsia" was born on 15 May, 1975 in Lviv, in the family of musicians. As the insiders state, he started singing even earlier than talking. From the age of 6 he learned to master a violin and understand symphonic music.
Then his studies logically continued at S. Lyudkevych Lviv Music College at the department of chorus conduction. As Bohdan's parents were experienced conductors it is easy to explain his choice of the profession. He was present at the very beginning of "Pikkardijska Tertsia", obediently attended all the rehearsals. He considers the years spent at college to be the best school of vocal singing and life. The professors didn't pay too much attention at him constantly going away on tours with a perspective band. The lectures he missed were allowed to be worked off by singing a new song or presenting an interesting adaptation. He didn't have to look for inspiration either, because gender proportions at college were 95% to 5% in favor of girls!
It was more difficult to master the profession of conductor at Mykola Lysenko Higher Institute of Music. The relations between students and professors at college were, as Bohdan calls them, rather close but at Institute they transformed into more corporative. However, strict attitude of professors and regular performances didn't stop Bohdan from getting the degree with good scores.
With his wife, who is an artist by profession, they raise two daughters. Milenka, who was born last year in December, is, so far, the youngest among 15 children of "Pikkardijska Tertsia" members.
